CARMEN KAMPMAN- A.M. SPEAKER
Carmen is an Assistant Professor and Soulhood Practitioner. She worked at Horizon from 2013-2019, took a five-year leave to complete a Doctorate of Ministry, and returned to a full-time position at Horizon in August 2024, after ending her professional chapter as a Spiritual Care Practitioner. Carmen is a proud Horizon alumna and a fervent supporter and advocate for Horizon’s mission and women in ministry. Her passion lies in creating contemplative spaces where individuals can listen, learn, and become more aware of the movements of God.
Carmen is married and has a loving family, including six adult children, two fantastic son-in-laws, and two cherished grandchildren. She and her husband live on their dairy farm located northwest of Saskatoon, cherishing the life and connections they have built there.
MARK GRIFFIN- P.M. SPEAKER
Mark Griffin has been married to Tammy since 1988 and they have four children; two in Ontario, two in Calgary, Alberta, as well as one son-in-law. Mark and his wife currently live in Cobourg, Ontario. They are foster parents, currently with four children in their care.
Mark has been in vocational ministry for over 35 years; traveling, speaking, pastoring, training leaders, coaching, consulting, helping plant churches, leading non-profits and doing missions.
During a missions season in Europe in the last decade, they purchased and pioneered a leadership training facility for leaders and church planters in Bavaria, Germany; Das Kanada Haus. That facility is also used for missionary respite, encouragement and training.
Mark has also been a ghost-writer authoring and / or editing 6 books and hundreds of scripts for television. Over the last decade Mark has been serving in Executive leadership of non-profits, humanitarian and missions agencies, promoting these endeavours, building partnerships and managing church relations.
Mark loves to travel with his wife and family when possible. He is a devout Toronto Maple Leafs fan and also a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Mark also has an impressive collection of Russian nesting dolls. In a little known bit of trivia, Mark was one of the first members of the Christian travel dance troupe, RiverDance.
