MICHAEL FISCHER- A.M. SPEAKER

Michael Fischer is a passionate leader with deep roots in Pentecostal ministry. His experience covers church planting, youth ministry and senior leadership. Recently serving as Senior Pastor at Calvary Temple in Brandon, he is now the Assistant Superintendent of the MB/NWO district of the PAOC. Michael brings 25 years of pastoral ministry experience and holds an MA in Leadership and Management from Providence Seminary and is completing his Doctor of Worship Studies at the Institute of Worship Studies, with research focusing on Pentecostal trends in worship.

Ejay Tupe believes in faith embodied in action and presence as an urban missionary and Pastor with Mission Canada, dedicated to serving the vibrant community of downtown Toronto. With a fervent belief in the transformative power of compassion and outreach, Ejay’s journey into ministry was not just a calling, but a personal conviction to make a tangible difference in the lives of those often overlooked and marginalized.

Being born and raised in the Philippines, and immigrating to Canada at the age of 11 in Mississauga helped instil a comfort and familiarity with culturally diverse environments, along with a deep appreciation for the power of rich diversity and the importance of inclusivity. This foundation laid the groundwork for his passion for social justice and his commitment to breaking down barriers that hindered individuals from experiencing the fullness of life.

Equipped with a strong theological education and a heart brimming with compassion, lives in one of the downtown neighbourhoods of Toronto, a city manifesting a mosaic of humanity – each person with their own story, struggles, and aspirations. Serving primarily from the posture of presence, Ejay seeks to be a positive force and catalyst for transformation.

Through Mission Canada, he spearheads innovative programs that address not only the spiritual needs of individuals but also provide practical assistance and support. From organizing community meals, counselling, advocacy, capacity building, etc… Ejay and his team tirelessly work to create a network of care and compassion that permeates every corner of downtown Toronto.

Beyond his role as a pastor and missionary, Ejay is a trusted mentor and friend to many. His genuine empathy and unwavering faith inspire others to join him in the journey of service and discipleship. Whether he’s leading a Bible study in a homeless shelter or advocating for affordable housing, Ejay’s commitment to justice and compassion shines brightly, illuminating a path of hope for those who have lost their way.
